Do this for my buddy Rob Smith

If any of you want to do something that Rob liked to do, is to send a check to the American Diabetes Ass. 5105 Paulsen Street Suite C-236 Savannah GA 31405. He would  like ya'll to do that for him, thank again, Cat. Be sure to put Robert M. Smith on the card.

  2. I know I'm not Cat - and I apologize in advance if I'm about to piss you off - but I lost a son a few years ago and I know this - if and when Rob's family and friends want to talk about how he died - they will. Y'all please - he's gone. Let that be enough until and if they want to discuss it further. Closure isn't dependent on knowing any more. It just isn't. Again, my apologies if I'm speaking out of turn. And I probably am. I'm still upset over Rob's death too. But knowing all of the details won't change that.

  3. Sandy you can send me anything you want. I believe and hope Robbie died of natural cause. He did have cancer and yes, he had a very bad liver he also had a ucler to pop inside of him a few months ago, it almost killed him because of all the poision that got into his stomach. The doctors operated on him and when I went to see him the next day after, the doctor told him that he was lucky and could have died. They took samples from the autospy and sent them to Atlanta and I would guess it will take a couple of weeks to get the results back. he also had bone spurs in both shoulders and had belly pains everyday. I went to see Rob almost two weeks ago and he had malox, tums, rolaids and pepcin on his coffee table. He could not eat but very little and no spicy foods, he threw up three and four times a day. If you would have read some of my posts you would have leaned that we were making plans to take a trip, build me a chicken coop, fish just started biting in my pond, he loved to fish. Sam was coming to town next week for a couple of weeks vacation and he had some legal papers to get her to sign. He loved his family and many friends, so I would say and hope Rob died of natural causes.

  4. Catfish, thanks for your update on the Acidman. His death hit many people hard, and I don't think anyone wanted to believe that he had taken his own life as he threatened in one of his last posts. Thanks for being his friend through the hard times as well as the good times.Good friends are hard to find. Karma, dude. It will come back to you one day.

  5. Thanks for the update Cat, Rob's passing was the fourth for me last month, two family, one workmate and Rob. Every one of those deaths were a shock and these people all enriched my life. Rob was called too early, like all good mentors he gave much more than he took and he forced us to look at ourselves and our foibles.I support ADA since I'm a member of their club, so sending them a donation is no problem, I hope they discover a cure for diabetes. Thanks Cat.
